Eligio Bazan has been weaving since he was six years old. He comes from
a family with a long tradition of weaving. His father taught him how
to weave, and before that his grandfather taught his father how to weave.
His mother hand spun the wool. He still has memories of his mother spinning
wool with her friends: Spinning wool while spinning tales.
He wants
to teach his sons to weave, too. He hopes they will
want to carry on the tradition. Eligio’s favorite rugs are hand-spun, un-dyed rugs.
